Dan Snow

British television presenter and historian, and distinguished supporter of the British Humanist Association

Born in December 1978, Dan Snow is the youngest son of BBC journalist Peter Snow and Canadian journalist Ann MacMillan, He was educated at St Paul's School, London and Balliol College, Oxford where he read history and rowed three times in the Boat Race. In 2003 he made his television debut with his father alongside father in a BBC film about El Alamein. This was followed by the series Battlefield Britain and numerous other history programmes for the BBC. He has also presented on many state occasions such as the 200th anniversary celebration of the Battle of Trafalgar, the 60th anniversary of the end of World War Two, the 90th anniversary of the Armistice in November 2008, and has won many awards for his television work.
