Sir Richard Dalton

Former diplomat and distinguished supporter of Humanism

Sir Richard Dalton was career diplomat from 1970 to 2006, specialising in the Middle East.  He was British Ambassador to the Palestinian Authority, Libya and Tehran.  He is now an Associate Fellow of the Middle East Programme at the Royal Institute of International Affairs at Chatham House, and a Business Consultant.  He is a regular commentator for UK and overseas media on Iran, Libya and other Middle East issues.
