Notes on the speakers:
Dr Rumy Hasan is Senior lecturer of Science and Technology Policy Research at the University of Sussex, and author of ‘Multiculturalism: Some Inconvenient Truths’
Parvin Ali, Chief Executive and founder of Fatima Women’s Networ, an online women’s support network that provides training, research and advocacy on issues concerning the representation of BME women in society.
Andrew Copson, BHA Chief Executive since January 2010 after five years coordinating the BHA's education and public affairs work. His writing on humanist and secularist issues has appeared in The Guardian, The Independent, The Times and New Statesman.
